Job Description

Afni is hiring a Director of Talent & Organizational Development to deliver solutions aimed at improving leadership skills for functional leaders and operational leaders at the manager level and above. Solutions include, but are not limited to, leadership development strategy, programs, leadership curriculum, leader assessments, coaching, mentoring, team building, and new leader onboarding/orientation.

The Director of Talent & Organizational Development will play a significant role in building the leadership capabilities needed to support Afni's growth. This positon will be responsible for identifying leadership development needs and design programs that close current leadership gaps as well as develop future capability for functional leaders and operational leaders at the manager level and above.

What you will be doing:

  • Establish philosophy, strategy, and programs for leadership development at Afni (executive, director, manager, and functional leaders).
  • Develops communication strategies to raise awareness for Learning & Development.
  • Design and develop curriculum to develop high-potential internal talent for critical roles across all levels of leadership (excluding first line leaders in Operations).
  • Create and oversee delivery of new leader (excluding first line leaders in Operations) and new manager first year experience, including orientation and assimilation activities, to ensure they are effectively delivering intended results.
  • In partnership with senior leaders, identify the leadership capabilities needed both now and in the future for functional leaders and operational leaders at the manager level and above. Translate those leadership capabilities into development plans, expectations, and competencies. Refresh the competency model as needed. 
  • Ensure all supporting leadership development processes are aligned, valid, measured against desired outcomes/deliverables, and are reported.
  • Work closely with Operations Training teams to ensure role clarity and clear communication of initiatives.
  • Partner with corporate departments to identify entry level degreed professional talent needs. Develop plan to work with local university to hire and onboard new talent.
  • Facilitates meetings and development sessions.
  • Design, develop and oversee mentoring program.
  • Design, develop and oversee internship program through strong partnership with local university. 
  • Stay current on leading trends in leadership development, and be a thought leader for senior HR and executives on leadership development best practices.
  • Develop analytic framework to evaluate leadership programs.
  • Establishes strategic partnerships with peer groups, professional societies and outside vendors to raise awareness on industry best practices, trends, processes, and incorporate findings into current Leadership and Professional development strategies.

What you will need:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience designing and delivering leadership, talent development, and management programs.
  • Significant experience interacting with executives and facilitating executive-level meetings.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in call center industry. 
  • A Master's degree in Organization Development, Business Administration or other related field, preferred.
  • Deep expertise in developing leaders at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to scale content to meet the needs of the level of the learner.
  • Expertise with adult learning theory and fitting delivery method to content.
  • History of building and fostering positive relationships, both internally and externally. Able to collaborate and partner with other subject matter experts and business leaders.
  • Proven ability to influence, educate, and gain support of senior leaders for leadership development, the role leaders play in developing other leaders, and the activities needed to support effective leadership development.
  • Can effectively cope with change and can shift gears comfortably. Willing to shift between strategy, design, and delivery. Does whatever is needed to get the job accomplished. 
  • Highly effective in ambiguous environment and able to produce maximum results with little direction and guidance.
  • Excellent project management skills including planning, logistics, program management, scheduling, and budget adherence.
  • Self-motivated and directed, possessing an ability to motivate others.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex assignments, with proven ability to assess competing priorities in a high energy, fast paced environment.
  • Strong business acumen, client-service, and results orientation.
  • Strong communicator with excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills. Able to simplify complex topics so the uninformed end user can understand.
  • Proven track record of strong program or project management, and managing cross-functional programs.
  • Experienced in analytics, including qualitative and quantitative methods.
  • Practical in approach--has a natural orientation to getting things accomplished quickly in a high quality way, and maximizes results with the available budget.
  • Advanced skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and MS Project skills.
