Job Description

Afni is hiring a Facilities Manager who is responsible for the enhancement and design of all interior and exterior occupied space of our facilities in Bloomington, IL. which includes the remodel of existing space and construction of new space. Will also assist in the annual budget process, facility inspections, building operations, maintenance, safety, and security. Also included are duties associated with the supervision of mail services. This position supervises the Facilities Services and Mail Services team.

What you will be doing:

  • Prepares construction specifications and project plans. Directs contracted projects to ensure adherence, follows all specifications. Assists management in solving issues with service providers. Coordinates all facility inspections; report findings and coordinates required repairs and/or replacements. Maintains and controls adequate building temperatures utilizing software systems at sites where applicable. Works directly with ITS department in coordination for new construction and/or remodeling of existing facilities.
  • Coordinates all facility related vendors for new start up projects. Coordinates Afni display units for job fairs and trades shows. Corporate liaison representative to the United States Postal Service. Coordinates request for proposal (RFPs) and request for quote (RFQs) when required.
  • Provides inventory control of shipments and supplies, coordinate and track all inbound and outbound shipments including tracking payroll shipments and freight shipments for materials to be delivered to other locations. Review invoices related to the facilities department. Approves Staples orders when required.
  • Utilizes Cherwell tickets to track work assignments.
  • Assists with budget process annually.
  • Research product information when required Researches software applications and mail service operations to enhance program.
Requirements
What you will need:
  • Associates level degree with 5 to 8 years of relevant business experience and 1-2 years of experience in the field of facilities management is preferred.
  • Previous management experience required.
  • Knowledge of principal components related to contract negotiations is preferred.
  • Possess or working towards obtaining knowledge of postal regulations for debt services and insurance regulations.
  • Must have a reliable insured vehicle with valid driver's license and proof of insurance.
  • Demonstrated clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Practices active listening skills seeks and considers others point of view when dealing in unfamiliar situations
  • Contributes to team decision making, goal setting, and problem solving
  • Ability to proactively initiate changes to improve work processes and take action to meet customer needs and concerns.
