Job Description

  • Manages the dayto day operations of the business office
  • Financial statement preparation
  • Supervises and provides back up support for payroll
  • Obtains and maintains a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure
  • Oversees the general ledger to ensure accuracy and completeness of data
  • Maintains internal control systems to ensure compliance
  • Manages and tracks assets which include fixed assets
  • Responsible for monitoring new accounting requirements and determining their impact on the company
  • Ensures timely and accurate payroll processing working with the Payroll Manager
  • Ensures the timely reporting of all monthly financial information
  • Oversees the daily banking requirements for all bank accounts
  • Ensures the monthly and quarterly compliance activities are performed in a timely and accurate manner
  • Supports budget and forecasting activities with the Corporate Controller
  • Collaborates with the other business office managers to support overall department goals and objectives
  • Monitors and analyzes department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy
  • Advises staff regarding the handling of non-routine reporting transactions
  • Responds to inquiries from the Corporate Controller and other managers regarding financial results and special reporting requests
  • Works with the Corporate Controller to ensure a clean and timely year-end audit
  • Assists in development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department
  • Provides training to new and existing staff as needed
  • Handles personnel issues relating to staff conflicts, absenteeism, performance issues
  • Works with each direct report to establish goals and objectives for each year and monitors and advises on the progress to enhance the professional development of staff
  • Supports the Corporate Controller with special projects and workflow process improvements
  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree of Accountancy or any business course
  • At least 3 year(s) of working experience in the same role is required for this position
  • Strong Verbal Communication and written English skills
  • Knowledge in PEZA reportorial requirements is a plus factor
  • Capacity to critically assess existing process and propose improvements
  • Good People Management
  • Experience in using accounting softwares
